ABSTRACT
A field experiment was conducted during kharif seasons of 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12 on sandy loam soil at Pulse Research Station, Anand Agricultural University, Modal Farm, Vadodara, Gujarat with four levels of sulphur (0, 20, 40 and 60 kg P2O5/ha) and three levels of zinc (0, 10 and 20 kg Zn/ha) to study the sulphur and zinc requirement of pigeonpea and its effect on yield, yield attributes and quality of seeds. The study revealed that yield attributing characters like plant height, pods per plant, seeds per pod, 100-seed weight, yield and quality parameters like protein was increased with application of sulphur @ 20 kg/ha.
Key words :
Pigeonpea, Protein content, Sulphur, Yield & quality attributes, Zinc fertilization.
