AMARDEV SINGH. 2012. Effect of two different bed disinfectants on cocoon productivity in spring rearing of silkworm, Bombyx mori. Green Farming Vol. 3 (1) : 123-124 ; January-February, 2012

ABSTRACT
In J&K, spring rearing is quite popular as maximum silkworm rearing is carried out by the sericulturists. The diseases incidence is always observed leading to low production of cocoon yield. To overcome this constraint an experiment was conducted by using two different bed disinfectants viz., Vijetha and RKO (Resham Keet Oushadh) to study the effect on cocoon productivity in spring rearing. The results of the finding exhibited that Vijetha dusted batches found more effective in the parameters studied such as larval mortality, cocooning %, single cocoon weight etc., than the RKO dusted batches.
