ABSTRACT
A field experiment was conducted on loamy sand soil during rabi season of 2003-04 and 2004-05. The treatments consisting of two levels of vermicompost (0, 2.5 t ha-1), three levels of potassium (0, 10 kg ha-1, 20 kg ha-1) and three levels of iron (0, 20 kg ha-1, 40 kg ha-1) were applied to fenugreek crop (Trigonella foenum-graecum var. Rmt-1) as soil application. The treatments were replicated thrice in randomized block design. Results showed that application of vermicompost, potassium and iron had significant effect on bio-chemical properties protein content, allantion content and total phenol content during both the years of experimentation. application of vermicompost, potassium and iron indivisually and in combination significantly influenced the yield attributes and yield of the crop during both the years.
