ABSTRACT
A field experiment was conducted at Main Agricultural Research Station (MARS), Dharwad to know the effect of water soluble fertilizers on concentration of major and micro nutrients in groundnut in a Vertisol of Northern transition zone of Karnataka. The experiment comprised 10 treatments including soil application of FYM, various levels of recommended dose of NPK and foliar spray of water soluble fertilizers at 30, 45 and 60 days after sowing (DAS). The concentration of N, P, K , S, Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn in plant was higher at 30 DAS, which decreased with advancement in crop growth stages registering minimum at harvest. At harvest, the concentration of all the nutrients was higher in kernel compared to haulm. The concentration of all the major (N, P, K and S) and micro nutrients (Fe, Cu, Mn and Zn) was highest in the treatment receiving FYM + 100 % RDF + foliar spray of fertilizers at 30, 45 and 60 days after sowing.
Key words :
