ABSTRACT
Field experiment was conducted on moderately drained clayey soil which was classified earlier as “deep black soil in Southern Gujarat for two consecutive years (2011-13) to study the response of water soluble fertilizers in banana (Musa paradisiaca L.) cv. Grand Nain. Total ten combinations and three repetitions were laid out in RBD with Factorial concept. The study indicated the beneficial effects of water soluble fertilizer with respect of growth parameters like, number of leaves, leaf area (22.67 & 19.36 m2), pseudostem girth (73.92 & 72.29 cm) pseudostem height (2.12 & 2.05 m) and yield (106.34 & 84.59 t/ha), respectively in water soluble fertilizer and micronutrient treatments. The W3 100 % RDF through water soluble fertilizer with micronutrient @ 30 g Grade- IV (M1) increasing growth and yield of banana.
