ABSTRACT
Field bioefficacy of fipronil 5% SC @ 75, 100, 200 & 400 g a. i. /ha, in comparison to fipronil (Regent) 5% SC @ 100 g a. i. /ha, fipronil 5% @ 75 g a. i. /ha + chlorpyrifos 20 EC @ 500 g a. i. /ha, fipronil 5% SC @ 75 g a.i. /ha + carbendazim 50 WP @ 250 g a. i. /ha, fipronil 5% SC 75 g a. i. /ha + urea 2% and untreated control against was evaluated in cotton agaist aphid, Aphils gossypii and leaf hopper, Amrasca biguttula biguttula at experimental farm of Department of Entomology, MAU, Parbhani during the kharif, 2003. Fipronil @ 200 & 400 g a i. /ha was found the most effective against aphids and leaf hopper, but it was not safer to ladybird beetles. At population 100 g a. i. /ha, it provided optimum control of aphids and leaf hopper and was comparatively safer to ladybird beetles (Coccinella spp.).
