ABSTRACT
A preliminary trial was laid out during February 2015 at ICAR-CCRI, Nagpur for quick deblossoming/ defruiting of Ambia (spring flowering) crop of Nagpur mandarin for shifting of cropping to Mrig (monsoon flowering) cropping with three concentrations of ethephon (2-Chloroethyl phosphonic acid) at 500, 1000 and 1500 ppm sprayed once at full bloom stage. The treatment with 1000 ppm of ethephon was effective in complete deblossoming/defruiting of Ambia flush of Nagpur mandarin 9 days after spray. After 6 days of spray, ethephon with 1500 ppm concentration was effective in 95.87% deblossoming/defruiting, whereas 1000 ppm concentration effected about 73.91 % deblossoming/defruiting.
