ABSTRACT
In the field experiments, after spraying of SAR inducing chemicals, it was observed that 30 DAT the maximum disease intensity was observed in the control (4.80 per cent). 45 days after transplanting again benzoic acid (0.1%) was found to be most effective in reducing the disease intensity (7.20 per cent) and 60 days after transplanting similar trend continued in treatments of benzoic acid (0.1%), salicylic acid (0.1%) and phosphoric acid (0.1%) which reduce disease incidence from 21.30 per cent (control) to 13.80 per cent, 15.80 per cent and 16.40 per cent respectively. Among all the treatments, the benzoic acid (0.1%) recorded maximum yield of 21.56 t/ha. The lowest yield of tomato crop was obtained in control 11.43 t/ha.
