ABSTRACT
Post biomethanated spentwash is effective organic liquid manure derived from sugarcane distillery industries. The application of PBSW showed highest activities of urease, dehydrogenase, acid phosphatase and alkaline phosphatase viz, 63.28 mg NH4-N 100 g-1 soil ha-1, 5.58 µg TPF g-1 soil hr-1, 35.50, 25.13 µM p g-1 soil hr-1, respectively were observed in treatment (T3) receiving 100 per cent N through PBSW+ P fertilizer while control recorded the minimum enzymes activity. The results revealed that the grain and straw yields were significantly increased over control. However, application of 100 per cent N to soybean through PBSW (40 m3 ha-1) + p through fertilizer was found beneficial for obtaining the highest grain and straw yield were significantly increased over control (T1) due to application of post biomethanated spent wash significantly superior over control (T1). However, application of 100 per cent N to soybean through PBSW (40 m3 ha-1) + P through fertilizer was found beneficial for obtaining the highest grain and straw yield of soybean and also with the higher benefit-cost ratio. As compared to GRD (T2), the all treatment of PBSW application in experiment showed higher grain yield and B:C ratio which means the use of PBSW is beneficial to farmers as compared to regular practices of GRD to soybean.
