ABSTRACT
The present study was taken up with 103 genotypes of kodo millet were characterized at both morphological and quality level to access the predominant genotypes in terms of yield and other desirable traits along with nutrient content. The observations for different quantitative traits were recorded along with estimation of iron and zinc content. Among the kodo millet genotypes studied, TNAU 82, RK 50, Sel 21, TNAU 188, TNAU 102, TNAU 195, TNAU 140 and TNAU 109 were found to possess desirable mean performance. Hence these genotypes are identified as potential genotypes for use in breeding programme for the development of high yielding nutritionally superior kodo millet varieties.
Key words :
Iron content, Kodo millet, Yield & quality attributes, Zinc content.
