ABSTRACT
The present experiment was carried out during March to July 2019 in Research Field, Department of Horticulture, SHUATS, Prayagraj. The experiment was conducted in Randomized block design (RBD) with 20 varieties /hybrids, replicated thrice. Among these varieties/hybrids 2018/BIGHYB-2 was recorded highest vine length (469.75 cm) at 75 DAS, highest number of branches per vine was recorded in 2018/BIGHYB-4 (4.67) and Days to first appearance of male flower was recorded in 2018/BIGHYB-4 (33.63days) ,Days to first appearance of female flower was recorded in 2018/BIGVAR-2 (34.80 days) , maximum number of female flower was recorded in 2018/BIGHYB-2 (44.08), Highest value of TSS was observed in 2018/BIGHYB-4 (5.27%), maximum size of fruit (length) was recorded in 2018/BIGHYB-2 (11.80 cm), maximum size of fruit (width) was recorded in 2018/BIGHYB-2 (40.57cm), maximum fruit weight was recorded in 2018/BIGHYB-2 (196.40 g), Highest yield per plant was recorded in 2018/BIGHYB-2 (0.24 kg), highest yield per plot was recorded highest in 2018/BIGHYB-2 (0.39 kg), highest yield (q/ha) was recorded in 2018/BIGHYB-2 (10.81). No other diseases were found in any of the varieties/hybrids but Leaf curl was found in 2018/BIGVAR-3 (25.00%) and SAGAR (13.40%). Similarly Yellow Mossaic Virus was found in Arpit (25.91%) and 2018/BIGVAR-7 (12.50%). 2018/BIGHYB-2 performed best among all the varieties/ hybrids.
