ABSTRACT
An experiment was carried out during February, 2021 to May, 2021 in 50% shadenet house, Department of Horticulture, SHUATS, Prayagraj, in Randomized Block Design (RBD), with eight different philodendrons, replicated four times. Different philodensrons used in the experiment includes Curly, Xanadu, Punto, Oxycardium Golden, Oxycardium Green, Imperial Red, Oxycardium Bronze and Martiana. From the investigation it was found that the different philodendrons under the study showed significant variation in all the parameters observed. Xanadu reported tallest plant, maximum plant spread, petiole length, fresh plant weight and root length while Oxycardium Green recorded maximum number of leaves and internodal length. Maximum petiole girth and leaf area was recorded in Imperial Red. Therefore, Xanadu (erect growing) and Oxycardium Green (vine type) can be recommended for indoor planting.
