ABSTRACT
In vitro assay for cytotoxic activity of the stem-leaves of Calotropis procera has been carried out against cervical and liver cancer cell lines at the concentration of 10, 30 and 100?g/ml via alcoholic, 50% alcoholic and hot water extracts. Results revealed that the alcoholic extract and 50% alcoholic extract of the plant showed in vitro cytotoxic effect on both the human cancer cell lines at the concentration of 30?g/ml.
