ABSTRACT
Bio-efficacy of different fungicides were studied in vitro against collar rot and root rot pathogen with two concentrations (500 and 1000 ppm). Copper oxychloride, Mancozeb, Cymoxanil 8 % + Mancozeb 64 % and Hexaconazole 5 % + Captan 70 % were tested at 1000 and 2000 ppm concentrations. While Hexaconazole, Azoxystrobin, Carbendazim, Carbendazim 12 % + Mancozeb 63 %, Azoxystrobin 18.2 % + Difenconozole 11.4 % fungicide tested at 500 and 1000 ppm concentrations. Among the fungicides screened in vitro, complete mycelial growth inhibition of L. theobromae was observed in Carbendazim (12 %) + Mancozeb (63 %) at both the conc. (500 and 1000 ppm) and Carbendazim at 1000 ppm conc. All the phytoextracts were tested at 10 per cent concentration. Complete mycelial growth inhibition (100 %) was recorded in garlic and castor cake extracts. Antagonistic effect of various bioagents i.e. Trichoderma viride, T. harzianum, T. virens, Pseudomonas fluorescens and Bacillus subtilis were tested by dual culture technique for their antagonism against L. theobromae. Trichoderma viride found most efficient antagonist in inhibiting the mycelial growth of L. theobromae (76.11 %) in vitro.
