ABSTRACT
A field experiment was conducted at Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics, J.N.K.V.V., Jabalpur during 2004-05 to study magnitude of standard heterosis in nineteen Indian rice hybrids over a commercial cultivars referred to as “standard heterosis” is of economic significance and practical utility, hence heterosis over the best commercial variety “Govind” has been considered for the estimation of standard and heterosis for thirty three characters for all the nineteen India rice hybrids.
