ABSTRACT
The study was undertaken to assess the extent of participation of the members of water users association in canal irrigation system. Majority of the respondents participation in WUA confirmed to be medium to high level. Since, the water users association members were involved in majority of functions with respect to participation in different activities under WUA. Majority of the respondents had participated in the activity of Grama Saba meeting and WUA meetings and low level of the respondents had participated to plan and discuss on different treatments for community land as well as private land developments, observed on the results of other farmers and discussion with officials to analyse for further success.
