ABSTRACT
Field experiment was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of entomopathogenic fungus, Paecilomyces lilacinus T. against melon fruit fly, Bactrocera cucurbitae C. The treatments were different methods of application of entomopathogenic fungus like soil drenching (T1), spraying (T2), soil drenching + spraying (T3), malathion spray (T4) and control (T5). Soil drenching + spraying with P. lilacinus recorded the minimum percentage infestation of melon fly. Soil drenching with P. lilacinus recorded maximum number of infected pupae per m2.
Key words :
Bactrocera cucurbitae, Melonfly, Paecilomyces lilacinus, Soil drenching, Spraying.
