ABSTRACT
Acid lime (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle) is one of the important livelihood crop in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh, KVK Nellore was conducted front line demonstration on Regulation of flowering during the year 2018-19 and 2019-20 in KVK adopted villages viz., Chittepalli, Biradavolu and Kalyanapuramu villages of Nellore district, with main emphasis on regulate the flowering in Acid lime by spraying various plant growth regulators viz., GA3 50 ppm (50 mg ltr-1) in the month of June, Cycocel 1000 ppm (1 g ltr-1) in the month of September and KNO3 one per cent in the month of October. Farmers sprayed only multi micro nutrient mixtures during the crop growth period (T2). The age of the Acid lime trees were 8-12 years and the variety used was Petluru Selection 1 (Petluru Pulusu nimma). The front line demonstration results revealed that highest mean number of fruits tree-1(1649) recorded in demo than Farmers practice (1482 number of fruits tree-1). Maximum mean yield was recorded in demo (23.19 t ha-1) with net returns and B:C ratios of ha-1 386808 and 3.21 respectively. Whereas, farmers practice recorded mean yield of 18. 56 t ha-1with net returns and B:C ratio ha-1 285210 and 2.75 respectively. Extension gap (yield gap) refers to the difference between demonstration plot yield and actual yield (farmers practice) and it was 4.63 t ha-1. There was 18.52 per cent reduction in yield as compared to demonstration plots yield. A sizable total yield gap of 6.44 t ha-1 was observed and it accounted for 25.76 per cent. The marginal benefit cost ratio (9.67) and economic efficiency was assessed with Relative Economic Efficiency (0.36).
