ABSTRACT
Cluster analysis was carried out for both erect and semi-spreading groups separately by Mahalanobis's D2 analysis and the genotypes were grouped into 3 clusters. On the basis of cluster wise mean yield performance it was noted that accessions viz., ICPL 20100, ICP 9174 and ICPL 20126 in erect group and RPS 2007-109, RPS 2007-03 and ICPL 20110 in semi-spreading group were performed better. Genotypes of clusters possessing high inter cluster distances may be used in the future breeding programmes for the development of high yielding erect and semi-spreading nature pigeonpea genotypes.
