ABSTRACT
Forty six sesame genotypes were grown in three different locations and evaluated for the stability of seed yield by analyzing genotype and environment interaction. Stability has been assessed by using Eberherat and Russel model. In this study, none of the genotypes showed stability over environment for seed yield. Where as, stability determined in case of additive main effects and multiplicative interaction effect, the genotypes Savanoor local (1), ST-4, ST-7, ST-13, Barmagari and Kashmir local-1 were found stable across the environments. The genotype ST-3 (by regression analysis) found to be suitable for favorable environment (Below average stability). The location Kaiwara was found to be suitable for growing the present set of genotypes followed by Balajigapade and Bangalore location.
