ABSTRACT
A field experiment was conducted at Main Agricultural Research Station, Dharwad, during kharif 2012 to find out the response of mungbean genotypes to sowing dates and foliar nutrition. Significantly higher seed yield of mungbean was obtained in early sown crop on 14th June (1268 kg ha-1) followed by 29th June (1114 kg ha-1), 15th July (1009 kg ha-1) and 30th July (898 kg ha-1). The mungbean genotype DGGV-2 recorded significantly higher seed yield (1113 kg ha-1) over SEL-4 (1021 kg ha-1) and it was on par with IPM-02-14 (1082 kg ha-1). Significant difference was observed in seed yield in per cent DAP spray (1094 kg ha-1) and without DAP spray (1050 kg ha-1). None of the interactions were found significant except date of sowing and variety. The interaction D1V1 (first fortnight of June and variety DGGV-2) was significantly superior over other treatment combinations. The early sown of 14th June crop with DGGV-2 and spraying of 2% DAP at flowering and early pod development stage recorded significantly higher net returns ` 32226 ha-1 and B:C ratio of 2.92.
