ABSTRACT
An in-vitro studies was conducted on 2007 to evaluate different organic preparations which were indigenously prepared, on germination percentage and seedling vigour of paddy. From the results it is evident that Brahmastra was superior over other treatments, where all the seeds germinated and recorded highest vigour index (1540) followed by Beejamrutha with 98 per cent germination and vigour index of 1264.20. Jeevamrutha recorded germination of 95 per cent with a vigour index of 1111.50 followed by panchagavya which recorded 93 per cent germination (with 1246 vigour index). The control which was incubated by soaking in water recorded lowest germination of 89 per cent with lowest vigour index of 578.50.
