ABSTRACT
A field study was conducted at Zonal Agriculture Research Station (ZARS), University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), GKVK, Bengaluru during kharif 2017 to know the response of nano zinc on growth and yield of groundnut. Treatments consisting of 12 different levels and application methods of zinc sulphate and nano zinc, which were laid out in a Randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications. The soils of the experimental site was red sandy loam having neutral pH, low electrical conductivity, and medium in available nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and zinc content. The results revealed that, zinc sulphate spray @ 0.5 % at 30 DAS recorded significantly higher pod yield, haulm yield, test weight and shelling per cent (1820 kg ha-1, 1943 kg ha-1, 29.25 g, and 71.50 %, respectively). Further zinc sulphate spray @ 0.5 % at 30 DAS also recorded significantly higher oil yield of groundnut (760.3 kg ha-1) and growth attributes like leaf area, leaf area index and dry matter production at 90 DAS (1668 cm2, 5.56 and 34.00 g plant-1, respectively).
