ABSTRACT
A study on influence of rootstocks on uptake of macro and micro nutrients of clones of wine grapes was conducted at College of Agriculture, Latur in 2009-2010, to determine the influence of rootstocks (110 R, SO 4 and 1103 P) on nutrient uptake of clones of wine grapes (Ugni Blanc-380 grafted on 110 R, Sauvignon Blanc-160 grafted on SO 4,Viognier Noir-15 grafted on 1103 P,Semillon-909 grafted on SO 4, Syrah-524 grafted on 110 R, Cabernet Sauvignon-15 grafted on 1103 P and Pinot Noir-15 grated on 110 R). Leaf sample of 45-60 days was selected and analyzed N, P, K, Zn, Fe and Mn uptake. Significant differences in nutrient levels due to rootstocks were found in all clones of wine grape. The clone Syrah-524 grafted on 110 R had significantly higher N (11.98 g vine-1) and P (3.22 g vine-1) uptake than other clones, whereas, Semillon-909 grafted on SO 4 had maximum K uptake (17.64 g vine-1). The maximum uptake of Zn (36.75 g vine-1),
Mn (217.80 g vine-1) and Fe (15.89 g vine-1) was recorded by Semillon-909 grafted on SO 4. The present investigation
demonstrate that rootstocks may have considerable effect on nutrition of clones of wine grapes.
