ABSTRACT
Bio-fertilizers provide eco-friendly, organic agro-input and are more cost-effective than chemical fertilizers. Since a bio-fertilizer is technically living, it can symbiotically associate with plant roots. Effect of bio-fertilizer and sea grass on the growth and development of Lycopersicon esculentum were analyzed after therty days of treatment. Totally seven treatments were carried out. They are C-Control, Ac- Azotobacter chroococcum, BM- Bacillus megaterium, S- Sea grass, AC+BM- Azotobacter chroococcum+ Bacillus megaterium, AC+S- Azotobacter chroococcum+ sea grass, BM+S- Bacillus megaterium + seagrass, AC+BM+S- Azotobacter chroococcum+ Bacillus megaterium+ seagrass. After thirty, sixty and ninety days of treatment shoot length, root length, plant height, leaf length, leaf width, leaf area, number of leaves, number of hairy roots, shoot girth and number of branches, biometric, and minerals and phytochemicals were analysed and recorded. The highest growth were measured in combined application of biofertilizers and sea grasses applications when compared with control.
Key words :
