ABSTRACT
A field experiment was carried out on TwinN in rabi sorghum at Main Agricultural Research Station, University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, Karnataka during rabi seasons (2009 and 2010) to evaluate the sorghum yield and yield parameters. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with eight treatments and three replications. The pooled results for two seasons showed significantly higher grain yield (36.88 q/ha), straw yield (7.51 t/ha), yield/plant (32.88 g), 100 seed weight (4.28 g ) and ear head length (25.85 cm) were recorded in 40:40:40 N:P2O5:K2O kg/ha with two TwinN sprays at 5th leaf and flower primordial stage(T5) which was on par with 80:40:40 N:P2O5:K2O kg/ha. Further gross return (` 66,464),net return (` 56,864) and B:C ratio 6.92 also showed similar trend in T5 .compared to T1 .
