ABSTRACT
The popular mulberry varieties (M-5 and V-1) were treated with vermicompost and vermiwash to asses the growth parameters like treated and untreated levels were fed to the different silkworm varieties of PM × CSR2 and CSR hybrid (CSR2 x CSR4), separately. The parameters like number of shoots per plant, height of the shoot, leaf moisture percentage, leaf protein, total sugar content. The assessed parameters indicated better qualitative and quantitative aspects of mulberry plant compared with that of control. The present investigation revels that, the influence of Vermicompost and vermiwash shows the better of the qualitative and quantitative aspects in mulberry plant and also the production of the silk. Further treated leaves were used for rearing of silkworm hybrid nearly in M-5 variety 35.6%, V-1 variety 38.5% of increase in silk, treatment is noticed compared to control depicting the influence of vermicompost and vermiwash in silk production.
