ABSTRACT
Rice based farming system is common practiced in Chhattisgarh but mono-cropping of rice is prevalent in rainfed area. With availability of irrigation, farmers prefer to grow summer rice after harvest of kharif rice that promoted inefficient utilization of depleting ground water resources. For promotion of farming system models on farmer’s field, critical inputs were given to the farmers along with trainings. In adoption of different IFS models for three years area allocated to different crops and gross income and net income has been increased gradually, which is help to improve small holding farmers lifestyle and get more income and also improve their livelihood.
