ABSTRACT
A field experiment was conducted during the winter (rabi) seasons at Students Instructional Farm of C.S. Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, U.P. to assess the eight intercropping associations coriander (1:2) lentil (1:2) linseed (1:2) pea (1:2) maize + lentil + coriander (1:1:1) maize + linseed + coriander (1:1:1) and maize+coriander + field pea (1:1:1) along with sole maize crop. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with three replication. On the basis of study, it has been concluded that significantly maximum plant population, plant height, functional leave and dry matter accumulation were recorded in maize alone. The maximum significant increase in yield attributes and yield of winter maize viz., cobs per plant, grain per cob, grain weight per cob, 100 grain weight, grain and stover yield were noted under sole maize crop. While, maximum significantly maize equivalent yield was recorded under maize + lentil (1:2) intercropping system. The net return and B:C ratio was recorded under the maize + lentil + coriander (1:1:1) intercropping system.
