ABSTRACT
The present study was carried out during 2014 in a on-going long-term experiment on continuous cropping at AAU, Anand which commenced in 1980. The treatments comprised of two levels of FYM (0 and 10 t ha-1) was applied once in a year to kharif pearl millet and four levels of recommended dose of NP fertilizers (0, 50, 100 and 150% of RD) applied to each crop (pearl millet-mustard-cowpea (fodder) in RBD (factorial) with three replications. Application of FYM @ 10 t ha-1 and NP application at 150% RD significantly increased different fractions viz., exchangeable, bound to carbonate, oxides of Fe-Mn, organic matter and total content of Fe, Mn, Zn and Cu. All the fractions of micronutrient cations were present in higher amount at 15-30 cm depth as compare to 0-15 cm depth. Among different fractions of micronutrient cations organically bound fraction was the predominant in case of Fe, Zn and Cu in both the depths of soil. However, Fe- Mn oxide bound fraction of Mn was found superior over rest of its fractions in both depths of soil.
