ABSTRACT
Seven seed samples were collected from major Ajwain growing areas of Rajasthan to manage the seed borne mycoflora of Ajwain seeds. Among fungicides used as seed treatment, in vitro Bavistin proved to be most effective against Aspergillus flavus followed by thiram, captan in improving seed germination and vigour index by reducing pre- and post emergence mortality and number of seedlings showing symptoms. Similarly, among plant extract and bioagents used, Neem followed by garlic extracts and Trichoderma viride followed by Trichoderma harzianum proved to be most effective in improving seed germination and vigour index by reducing pre- and post emergence mortality and number of seedlings showing symptoms.
