ABSTRACT
The field experiment to study optimum spacing of raingun irrigation system was carried out at research field of Zonal Agricultural Research Station, Shenda Park Farm, Kolhapur (MS) 2007-2008. The performance of system evaluated by using twin 95 plus raingun model test to study the uniformity coefficient, optimum spacing between raingun and suitable economic layout for sugarcane. It was found that spacing between raingun is optimum giving maximum uniformity. It was also found that optimum spacing of raingun with nozzle size of 16 mm was 50 m at operating pressure of 3.0 kg/cm2.
