ABSTRACT
The performance evaluation of multipurpose tool carrier pulled by a pair of bullocks was evaluated with different implement attachments and the energy assessment involved in operating the multipurpose tool carrier for tillage operations was carried out during the year 2013-14 at College of Agricultural Engineering, UAS, Raichur, Karnataka. Two different types of tool carriers viz., MPUAT Udaipur model and ICRISAT Hyderabad models were evaluated under three work rest schedule and three depth of operation. The results from the study shows that the optimum work rest schedule for tillage operations for all multipurpose tool carriers is 1.5 h. From the performance and energy requirement point of view, ICRISAT multipurpose tool carrier has highest performance and less energy consumption.
