ABSTRACT
In the present investigation plastic collapsible mountage along with other mountages viz., pine shootlets, paddy grass and mango leaves were used to study their impact on cocoon quality. Mountages used for silkworm spinning considerably influence the quality and quantity of cocoons. The study revealed that all the parameters were found superior in plastic collapsible mountages defective cocoon was reduced (4.1%) and good cocoons percentage (95.2%) was improved.
