This paper presents a study about vertical garden as one of the most popular greenery systems in the modern era. The aim of this research is to study the performance of ornamental plants in indoor and outdoor vertical garden. Ornamental plants not only add to the aesthetic sense of the place but also help in making the space eco-friendly. Eight ornamental monocot plants that are full sun to partial shade to shade loving were taken – (M1) Purple Heart (Tradescantia pallida), (M2) Wandering Jew (Tradescantia jebrina),(M3) Mondo grass (Ophiopogon japonicus),(M4) Spider plant (Chlorophytum comosum),(M5) Moses-in-the-cradle (Tradescantia spathaceace), (M6) Asparagus fern (Asparagus densifolus),(M7) Arrowhead (Syngonium podophyllum 'Cream Allusion'),(M8) Black Arrowhead (Syngonium wendlandii). Temperature during the experiment was 46-47?C in outdoor conditions whereas in indoor condition it was reduced to 4-5?C. Light Intensity was reduced to 70-80% in indoor condition; relative humidity indoors was 30-40% more. M2 and M4 plant grew well in outdoor conditions.
