ABSTRACT
It was found that on an average height of matured spadix from ground level was 10.1 m whereas; the girth of tree was ranging between 337 to 492 mm. The average weight of spadix was 20.02 kg. The minor axis of peduncle was in the range 17 to 28 mm and its major axis was in the range 28 to 38 mm. The average effective length of peduncle available for cutting the bunch was 205 mm although; it lies between 179 to 251 mm. It was found that the average maximum weight, length, breadth, husk thickness, kernel thickness, kernel weight, husk weight, among the four varieties at three maturity stages were 2.38 kg, 18.48 cm, 16.48 cm, 3.84 cm, 0.59 cm, 203.1 g, 1.79 kg respectively. The average minimum and maximum volume of tender coconut water was found 178.1 and 344.1 cc respectively.
