ABSTRACT
A field experiment was conducted in the sandy loam soils under four agro-ecological situations of Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan (India) during three succeeding kharif seasons in the year 2008 to 2011. The study revealed that application of thiourea doses consistently improve the production potential of cluster bean under different Agro ecological situations in hyper arid regions of India. Seed soaking of thiourea at 500 ppm solution followed by two sprays (at vegetative and flowering stages) was observed highly effective and significantly increased seed yield by 43.75 per cent over control. This treatment also resulted highest economic benefits (2.94) and earn an extra return of ` 4061 over farmers practices (control). Further different agro-ecological situations (AESs) were also significantly differ to their economic returns among themselves. AES-IV (Jaisalmer block canal irrigated area) showed highest seed yield of 637 kgha1 and B: C (3.00).
