ABSTRACT
A field experiment was conducted at the College Farm, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari on clayey soil to study the residual effect of INM and direct effect of fertilizer levels on growth, growth indices and yield of summer rice (SRI) during the year 2016-17 and 2017-18. The treatment consisted of integrated nutrient management viz., Fallow (T1), dhaincha + PSM (soil application @ 2.5 l ha-1) (T2), sunnhemp + PSM (soil application @ 2.5 l ha-1) (T3), dhaincha + bio compost @ 10 t ha-1 (T4), sunnhemp + bio-compost @ 10 t ha-1 (T5) which were imposed during rabi season in Randomized block design. During summer season each main plot treatments was split into four sub-plot treatments with four levels of recommended dose of fertilizers viz., S1 - Control, S2 – 100-30-00, S3 – 75-22.5-00 and S4: 50-15-00 N P2O5 K2O kg ha-1 to rice resulting in twenty treatment combinations replicated five times in Split-plot design. The results revealed that green manuring of dhaincha either with biocompost @ 10 t ha-1 or with PSM (soil application @ 2.5 l ha-1) enhance the growth in terms of plant height, number of tillers, leaf area index, crop growth rate, relative growth rate, net assimilation rate and dry matter accumulation and yield attributes viz. number of effective tillers, seed weight hill-1, grain and straw yield of summer rice.
Key words :
