ABSTRACT
An experiment was conducted to study the response of cowpea (Vigna sinensis L.) to different levels of N and K with and without biofertilizers on yield, quality and nutrient uptake in lateritic soil of Konkan. The results indicated that the application of N:P2O5:K2O @ 30:50:30 kg ha-1 along with seed inoculation has given superior results in seed yield, growth parameters, yield contributing characters and micronutrients content in seed and stover. The quality parameters like methionine content and uptake of N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, Fe, Mn, Zn and Cu were also higher due to application of N:P2O5:K2O @ 30:50:30 kg ha-1 alongwith seed inoculation over control.
Key words :
