ABSTRACT
Roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) is one of the most important and popular medicinal plants. Salinity stress was studied by using different concentrations (0.15%, 0.30% and 0.45%) of various salts (NaCl, Na2SO4, Na2CO3, NaCl+ Na2SO4, NaCl+ Na2CO3, Na2SO4 + Na2CO3, NaCl+ Na2SO4 + Na2CO3) in three landraces (R.K.S.I, R.K.S.II and R.K.S.III) of Roselle after harvesting. Salinity stress effects on soil pH and EC of the landraces were studied. Based on the present study, the Roselle landrace R.K.S. I was found to be more salt tolerant than the other two landraces (R.K.S.II and R.K.S.III).
Key words :
Roselle, Soil pH and E.C, Salinity stress.
