ABSTRACT
Estimation part is important objective of the sampling theory and every researcher's interest is to improve the estimation part using auxiliary information to increase the precision of parameters of interest to be estimated. In this paper, some new modified ratio estimators using auxiliary information of quartiles, interquartile range, coefficient of skewness and kurtosis and their linear combinations are proposed. The properties supplemented with the proposed estimators are assessed by calculating the bias and mean square error. Theoretical results are supported with the numerical illustration. It is shown that the anticipated estimators are comparable useful to the estimation based on simple random sampling.
