ABSTRACT
A field experiment was carried out to study the growth parameters of ten clusterbean varieties under Marathwada condition at Horticultural Research Scheme (Vegetable), Department of Horticulture, Marathwada Agricultural University, Parbhani during kharif season of the year 2008-09. Early germination was recorded in variety Varun (3.95 days) followed by Malav-51 (4.03 days). Maximum germination percentage (93.83), plant height (92.46 cm), stem girth (3.98 cm), number of branches (2.33), number of leaves (52.12) and leaf area (93.38 cm2) were recorded in variety Varun followed by Malav-51 (germination percentage 92.33, plant height 89.12 cm, stem girth 3.88 cm, number of branches 2.30, number of leaves 51.47) and Pusa Navbahar (leaf area 87.04 cm2). Hence variety Varun can be recommended for further evaluation and commercial cultivation during kharif season in Marathwada region.
