ABSTRACT
The orchards (samples), under study showed significant variations for different growth and yield attributes.
The sample LMO11 had maximum tree volume (62.5 m3) as compared to other samples, whereas, sample LMO6 had lowest
(42.1 m3). The yield characters like number of fruits per tree, yield per tree and yield per hectare, the sample LMO11 was
significantly superior over rest of the samples and produced maximum number of fruits (320), yield per tree (79 kg) and yield
per hectare (7.9 MT) followed by sample LMO17. The correlation coefficient (r) of growth attributes and soil and leaf nutrient
status with yield was studied. As regards to the nutrient status, the significant and positive correlation was observed
between soil N, K, Fe, Cu and leaf N, Mn and Zn with yield.
Key words :
Correlation coefficient, growth attributes, leaf nutrient, mango, Mangifera indica, tree nutrition, yield attributes.
