ABSTRACT
Heterotic effects for quantitative traits were studied in varied environmental conditions to evaluate the hybrid vigour in the 28 newly identified bivoltine F1 hybrid combinations. The degree of heterosis and overdominance varied considerably among the quantitative trait. Among the hybrids studied, significant hybrid vigour was found in CSR12xD13, CSR12xCSR26, CSR12xCSR16 and CSR17xCSR26 for all the traits and the same has been identified for commercial exploitation.
