ABSTRACT
The field experiment is carried out at two location namely in the farm of Dr. Ulhas Patil College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Jalgaon and in the farm of Dr. Ulhas Patil English Medium School, Bhusawal for determination of infiltration rate. Using the data of double ring infiltrometer test, parameters of different infiltration model such as Horton's, Green-Ampt, Philip's and Kostiakov has been determined. To choose best fitted infiltration model, Mean Absolute Relative Error (MARE) is computed for different infiltration model. It is indicated that MARE is lowest for Green-Ampt model for both Jalgaon and Bhusawal site. So it is concluded that Green-Ampt model is best fitted model for both Jalgaon and Bhusawal site.
Key words :
Easy fit, Green-Ampt, Horton's, Infiltration model, Kostiakov, MARE, Philip's.
