ABSTRACT
The present study was undertaken in Ramtek Panchayat Samiti of Nagpur district. 15 SHGs from 10 villages were selected having significant contribution in dairy, goat keeping, farming, tailoring and small scale cottage industries. The findings reveal that majority of women members of SHGs were engaged in dairy, goat keeping followed by farming, tailoring and small scale industries while assessing the training needs of women members of SHGs on the above five important areas, most important training needs perceived by majority of respondent were about breeds of milch animals and cross breeds giving more milk, methods of milking and milk storage, vaccination against contagious diseases, artificial insemination and it's advantages, fodder production storage and it's advantages, integrated pest management, organic farming, seed treatment, dress and fashion designing preparation of candles, jam, jelly and pickles.
