ABSTRACT
Organic farming is getting popular day by day. There are several states in India, which have declared organic policy with intent to make the entire state organic in the near future and Karnataka is one of them. In Tungabhadra command area (TCA) of Karnataka rice is being produced under both organic farming and inorganic farming. The present study was aimed to analyze the cultivation of rice under these two different systems of farming. In this regard, the present study is an attempt for causes of yield/income difference between paddy grown under organic farming and inorganic farming by Using Output Decompose Model. The study revealed that, revealed, In case of new technology (organic farming) farms, the calculated 'F' value was greater than the 'F' critical value at one per cent the R2 value was statistically significant. In case of old technology (inorganic farming) farms, the calculated 'F' value also statistically significant.
