ABSTRACT
Results of the field experiment conducted at Navsari Agricultural University Navsari during the rabi season of 2007-08 revealed that sowing on raised bed recorded significantly highest seed (972.88 kg ha-1) stover (2288.86 kg ha-1) yields, nitrogen (57.00 kg ha-1) and phosphorus (194.51 kg ha-1) uptake with the highest net realization of ` 25296 ha-1 with BCR value of 6.02. Application of 100 per cent RDF recorded highest seed (998.79 kg ha-1) and stover (2294.68 kg ha-1) yield, total N and P uptake and net return (` 25624.88 ha-1) with BCR value of 5.67. the increase in seed yield under application of 100 per cent RDF was to the tune of 27.63 per cent over rest level. Similarly highest seed (964.27 kg ha-1) stover (2229.71 kg ha-1) yields, total N & P uptake and net realization of ` 21357.92 ha-1 were recorded by the application of FYM @ 5 t ha-1 over control.
