ABSTRACT
A field experiment was conducted at research-cum-instructional farm, IGKV, Raipur to find out effect of fertility levels on zinc concentration and yield of high zinc containing rice genotypes in Vertisols of Chhattisgarh during kharif season of 2013. The experiment was carried out in split-plot design with three replications having four fertility levels in main plots and twelve varieties in sub plots. Yield of different rice genotypes significantly increased with increasing level of fertility and the highest grain yield of 53.89 q ha-1 was recorded with application of 110:70:40 kg NPK/ha which was at par with that of application of 80:50:30 kg NPK/ha. Among different genotypes, R-1033-968-2-1(ABL) produced higher yield at all the fertility levels which was at par with R-RF-31(ABL) with most of the fertility levels. Grain Zn concentration was significantly influenced by fertility levels. Grain Zn concentration found under low and medium fertility level was almost same but significantly higher than high fertility levels and control.
