ABSTRACT
Evaluation of BC2F4 NIILs of IB and TB populations under moisture stress revealed highly significant mean sum of squares (MSS) for all the traits studied. In total, 33 and 17 QTLs were detected for yield and physiological traits over all the three environments in IB and TB NIILs respectively. Four QTLs were common in IB and TB NIILs viz., RM 260 for leaf area, RM 261 for photosynthetic rate and radiation use efficiency and RM 21 for transpiration rate. QTL at RM 265 associated with plant height and QTLs at RM 242, RM 6, RM 260 and RM 197 for leaf area were stable across environments.
